I’m Jen, Registered Dietitian, trained chef in health-supportive cooking, and devoted eater of all the foods. I’m a born and raised New Yorker, currently living outside of Boulder, CO. I’m so glad you’re here!

The Nourished Table and its mission comes straight from my years of working with clients in the community and clinical patients and the common threads between them, like:

  • New diagnosis of Prediabetes or Type 2 Diabetes with very little guidance or education provided, leading to…

  • Confusion! from the conflicting nutrition information all over the internet and social media when you try to piece it together yourself

  • Trying different diets, like keto or whole30, but nothing ever sticking

What is The Nourished Table (TNT)?

Nourished: Food is nourishment, of course. We need food to live, and the food choices we make can certainly impact our health and how we feel. But, food doesn’t play a singular role in our lives. Food is joy, food is love, food is family, food is celebration, food is culture, food is tradition, food is fun! Food can nourish our wellbeing in all these ways and this is core to the way we talk and learn about nutrition at The Nourished Table (yes, even when you may be living with or preventing chronic disease).

Table: the kitchen table is so often a communal space – one where conversations are had and food is shared. The table can be a happy, grounding space, but when you’re burdened with a new diagnosis and facing changes to your eating pattern, suddenly the table can feel unsettling. You become over-conscious of every food choice and maybe feel anxiety around the table. My goal in teaching you at The Nourished Table is to help you feel empowered to make health supportive food choices with confidence and ease in the kitchen and feel the joy that can be had at the kitchen table.

You can have it both ways (or, as they say, have your cake and eat it, too… yeah, you really can have some cake!).

Food can nourish you toward better health AND it doesn’t have to suck while doing so. You can eat nutritious meals AND enjoy the heck out of them.

There’s a seat for you at our Nourished Table and we’re so happy you’re here.
